Responsibilities
To ensure compliance with Diocesan safeguarding regulations and requirements
Implementation of Safer Recruitment of volunteers,

including initiating DBS checks for volunteers in roles which require a DBS
Ensure activity risk assessments are completed and reviewed for each activity

which involves children and/or vulnerable adults
Ensure all relevant safeguarding contacts and support information are available

for church and church hall users.
Ensure that the Parish Safeguarding Handbook is available for parishioners to access.
Respond to any safeguarding matters raised in the parish
Review and report progress as required.
